Meet Our Team
Ariadne (Ari) Harris, MPA, CAVNC
Director of Development
Ari joined the College of Health Sciences after more than a decade in the non-profit sector. Ari has most recently worked with the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, helping to build the House from the ground up. She has worked with statewide and national agencies, such as Easter Seals United Cerebral Palsy of North Carolina and the American Red Cross, in fundraising, board governance and volunteer management capacities. Ari holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Ari also holds her certification for the North Carolina Association of Volunteer Administrators.
Chris Shore, MA
Public Communications Specialist
Chris joined the College of Health Sciences following several years as public relations coordinator in a different area at Appalachian State University. Chris has experience with writing, editing, and graphic and website design. Chris holds a master's degree in English Literature from Appalachian State University and a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Wingate University.
Winston-Salem Scottish Rite Golf Tournament
College of Health Sciences Alumni in action!
The Winston-Salem Scottish Rite sponsored their second annual golf tournament on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Meadowlands Golf Club in Winston-Salem. All net proceeds from this event will go to the North Carolina Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation to be distributed to Communication Disorders Clinics at Appalachian State University and East Carolina University. The event raised over $6,000.00 - thanks to everyone who helped make this a huge success!
