App State Employees Invited To Feb. 3 Mental Health Awareness Event

 The Beaver College of Health Sciences is sponsoring a Mental Health Panel Discussion and reception on Friday, Feb 3 , in Leon Levine's Dickson Lecture Hall Room 103.  The event is open to all App State faculty and staff.  

The event is designed to:

  • Increase faculty awareness of students' mental health challenges and how those affect their academic performance and class behavior
  • Acknowledge faculty mental health needs and care for their well-being while supporting students
  • Provide advice, tools, and resources to promote inclusion of and support for those with mental health challenges.

Following the panel, there will be a reception that includes mood boosting foods and an opportunity to talk further and obtain resources from panel members.
