Beaver College of Health Sciences to host employee health fair

BOONE- The Beaver College of Health Sciences will hold the "Harvest Your Health" employee health fair on Friday, October 30 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Grandfather Ballroom of the Plemmons Student Union. The fair will provide early detection and prevention health screenings and educational opportunities for faculty, staff and other Appalachian employees.

Employees will be able to have their blood pressure, body mass index, hearing and vision checked on-site by knowledgeable professionals from Appalachian Health Promotion for Faculty and Staff (HPFS) and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Institute of Human Services (BCBSNCIHHS). Information on nutrition, joint related injuries, recreation and fitness, stress management and many more opportunities will also be available.
