Charles E. and Geneva S. Scott Scottish Rite Communications Disorder Clinic supports local families

In the spirit of giving, graduate students at the Charles E. and Geneva S. Scott Scottish Rite Communications Disorders Clinic organized a grassroots effort to support a family in need during the holidays. What began as a small project involving just one family, blossomed into a compassionate mission involving graduate students, undergraduate students, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders faculty, and community.

Initially, the plan was to collect a few toys and books for four children, however, as the students shared the project, excitement grew and additional donations came pouring in. Daily essentials, food, holiday decorations, cleaning items, clothing and gifts for a total of six children were contributed.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the Scottish Rite Communications Disorders Clinic hopes that this will become an annual event, where the faculty, students and community members collaborate to support our clinic families in need.
