Dr. Chip Thomas, an internationally known physician and social justice activist, has lived and worked on the Navajo Nation for more than three decades. During his presentation, Stories Told and Retold, Dr. Thomas will talk about his path from North Carolina, where he grew up, to Arizona to serve at the Inscription House Health Center and how his journey led him to install large scale photographic murals that established the Painted Desert Project. This talk has a bit of something for everyone: medicine, public health, social inequities, sustainability, arts activism and more!
