The Beaver College of Health Sciences held its annual student awards ceremony in Levine Hall on April 1 to honor students for outstanding accomplishments in the classroom and to recognize their leadership and overall contributions to the university, college and community.
Twenty-five students representing the college’s undergraduate and graduate programs were presented with awards, and had the opportunity to share some of their favorite Mountaineer memories as well as thank faculty and others who helped them during their academic journey.
“These students were selected by faculty and staff through a competitive process to recognize their accomplishments,” said Dean Marie Huff, PhD, from the Beaver College of Health Sciences. “Student awards day is one of my favorite events of the year because we have the opportunity to learn more about some of our outstanding students, many of whom have overcome significant challenges to achieve this wonderful recognition. Each year, I am inspired by their stories, and look forward to celebrating this honor with them.”
