On October 4, 2016, the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) announced their newly elected board members. These elected members will begin their term on January 1, 2017. We are proud to announce our very own Dr. Eric Frauman, Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation Management and Physical Education, was selected as one of the three board members.
Dr. Frauman has been an active member of the AORE since 2004 having chaired the Research and Publications (R&P) Committee, Research Symposium, and Environmental Stewardship Committee. His involvement with the R&P Committee beginning in 2004 led to the establishment of the first North American journal dedicated solely to the outdoor recreation and education profession. Dr. Frauman has served on the Journal of Outdoor Recreation, Education, and Leadership (JOREL) Advisory Board since the journal’s inception in 2008.
Dr. Frauman’s selection to the AORE Board is the culmination of many years of dedication to the organization. His term on the Board is for three years. Congratulations Dr. Frauman!
