The App State Health, Physical Education, and Coaching Program is pleased to continue offering the Home School Physical Education (PE) Program for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Dr. Brooke Towner, who oversees the program, is an assistant professor in the App State HPEC program, a Certified Physical Education Teacher, and has physical education experience in both public school and recreational settings.
The program uses the innovative SPARK physical education curriculum in the PE program and Play Pen classes. The Play Pen and Parent Walking Group will be offered during the 2023 - 2024 academic year.
Play Pen: is structured to provide children with high activity and enjoyable movement opportunities to foster social and motor development.
Age: 3 - 4-year-olds *priority enrollment for those with a sibling in the Home School PE
Dates: Fall September 14 – November 16; Spring February 8 - April 18
*starts on the Thursday of the first week of the Homeschool PE Program
Meets: Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Cost: $30 per child for the academic year (includes t-shirt)
Parent Walking Program: is a parent-centered 15 - 20 minute walk led by App State HPE students.
Dates: Fall September 14 – November 16; Spring February 8 - April 16
Cost: $0 for the full academic year
