Associate professor in the Department of Nursing Dr. Vickie Hughes was appointed by North Carolina Representative Virginia Foxx to serve on the Service Academy Nomination Board. Hughes is a retired colonel from the U.S. Air Force where she served as the commander of the Air Force's largest medical school and director of operations for the Commissioned Officer Training School. Hughes joined the College of Health Sciences faculty in fall 2014.
