The Appalachian State University’s Department of Nutrition and Health Care Management will host its third annual Nutrition Summit on Friday, April 4, at Levine Hall in Boone with presentations from recognized nutrition experts and research findings related to advances in nutrition and foods.

“The Nutrition Summit is a great way to learn about the depth and breadth of nutrition research being conducted and learn more from nutrition experts about topics impacting our communities,” said Dr. Danielle Nunnery, an App State Nutrition faculty member and Registered Dietitian.

“This year, our panel discussion features recognized experts related to 'Food is Medicine' programs in North Carolina, and we will also have a number of App State faculty and students sharing research findings on topics ranging from food insecurity to the effect of bioactive supplements on physical performance and health."

The free event is open to the public; advance event registration is required by Monday, March 24.
